GeoCounsel has performed large-group training services for technical personnel and professionals in the mapping sciences for a couple of decades, covering all disciplines mentioned here. Customers include the who's who of the industry, such as DigitalGlobe, GeoEye, Leica, Government of Taiwan, Government of Iraq, City of Glennwood Springs, City of Pueblo, The World Bank, the International Development Bank, Argentina Ministry of the Interior, etc.

In every case, the intent is to bring complex academic topics into the practical world and help various personnel to develop a much stronger professional judgment. Whether it involves knowledge about geoids, datums, basic trigonometry, least squares adjustment or Modified State Plane, the material is especially suited to those who don't have advanced degrees. For example, all GIS and GPS operators and mappers will find this especially useful (even engineers and surveyors have benefited).

These courses are either open to the public or customized to suit a corporate customer. They are subject to a low sign up fee. There are no prerequisites. The courses are regularly scheduled, and available as 14 one-and-one-half-hour sessions. Below we list the courses that are available as part of the regular program.
